I am using 32bit gzip version 1.3.5. Can it decompress a .gz file compressed by 64bit gzip? if you mean in terms of CPU architecture, it should make no real difference (the Deflate bitstream is independent of the arch, so on linux x86-64, we can still produce a file that will decode in 16 bit DOS.
